The Los Angeles Chargers are ready to be part of another Super Bowl but their star Melvin Gordon is planning something else. Gordon has refused to be part of the next training camp for the Chargers and is looking for a new deal. As of right now, Gordon is in his fifth year of the rookie contract and will get $5.6 million for the year of 2019.
But Gordon believes he can do better and can get a higher salary. He has been playing and covered about 1300-yards from scrimmage in the last three NFL seasons. There are high chances that Melvin Gordon asks for a trade and can end up with the Dolphins, Buccaneers and the Texans.
Miami Dolphins
The team of Miami Dolphins seems to very much interested in Melvin Gordon for the next NFL season. The Dolphins can pair Gordon with Kenyan Drake and form a dynamic power duo. Brian Flores, the new head coach for the Dolphins is well aware of the fact how important good players are to win matches. Gordon in the Miami team can take the pressure of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen which means more freedom for a win.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Tampa Bay Buccaneers is another Florida based NFL team who is interested in signing Melvin Gordon. Bruce Arians, the former retired player is the new head coach of Buccaneers and needs some offensive players for his team. Gordon can easily solve the backfield problems for Tampa Bay and give them a fresh start. Jameis Winston as a quarterback along with Gordon can totally dominate the opposing side and take the Buccaneers to the finishing line.
Houston Texans
Melvin Gordon is looking for higher pay and there are no better teams for a deal other than the Houston Texans. The dual dual-threat back star can live a luxurious tax-free life in Florida and spend his NFL money on nice things. Houston has around $41 million in cap space and can easily sign Gordon and pair him up with Deshaun Watson and DeAndre Hopkins.
