World of Warcraft: WoW Classic beta closer to final release as no major bugs reported so far

World of Warcraft Classic is the latest game in the multiplayer game series, made by Blizzard Entertainment. The first game in the series came out in 2004 in the form of a massively played multiplayer online game. After the initial success, a lot of new WoW games sequels, spin-offs and even a live action movie has been released.

But most of the fans are nostalgic and still loves the original game. To appease with those fans, the makers are coming up with an original Vanilla version called as World of Warcraft Classic. Here is everything you need to know about WOW Classic game.

World of Warcraft Classic Beta

While the World of Warcraft Classic game is in the last stage of development, its beta version has been released. The main aim of the WOW Classic beta is to identify any bugs before it is released to the general audience. The makers are selectively closing and opening the levels in beta version so that each of the game segment in tested uniformly. Most of the bugs reported are actually the original features of the older World of Warcraft game and so far the game is mostly error-free.

What is new in WOW Classic?

There will be a total of six phases in the WOW Classic game which will be released layer by layer as in the older game. Also, crossing these layers will be difficult and most of the users will be stuck at the same place so that players get to fight their nearby opponents. The list of the phases include the following features:

  • 1st Phase: Molten Core, Onyxia, Maraudon
  • 2nd Phase: Dire Maul, Azuregos, Kazzak, Honor system
  • 3rd Phase: Blackwing Lair, Darkmoon Valley
  • 4th Phase: Zul’Gurub, Green Dragons, Arathi Basin
  • 5th Phase: Ahn’Qiraj War, Ahn’Qiraj raids
  • 6th Phase: Naxxramas, Silithus and Eastern Plaguelands

WOW Classic Release Date

The makers of World of Warcraft announced at the BlizzCon (their annual event) that they are planning for a classic vanilla version of the game. While the first demo was shown to the world last year along with a release date. World of Warcraft Classic will be released on August 27, 2019, for the general public.
