Why is there no Outlander season 3 and 4 on Netflix?

Fans of Netflix’s historical fiction Outlander have been looking forward to the return of the series ever since the end of the second season. However, they will be disappointed to know that there has been no update from Netflix regarding when season 3 and season 4 will be coming back.

Netflix releases the first 2 seasons of Outlander

The steamy love story has an element of time travel and gut-wrenching twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Historical fiction lovers were delighted when the show was added to the online streaming platform at the end of May this year.

The result is that a lot of people are binge-watching the first two seasons in one sitting. Earlier, the show was only available on Starz but a lot of people don’t have a subscription to the service. Netflix truly came through when it brought the show on its website.

When will Season 3 and Season 4 of Outlander come on Netflix?

But the sad part of this is that Netflix has only the first two seasons, while in reality season 3 and 4 of Outlander have been released for 2 years now. Subscribers of Netflix are waiting for the platform to bring the last two seasons too.

However, there has been no news regarding this. Generally, other networks air their seasons on Netflix after the season finale is launched. However, Starz is yet to do the same for Outlander season 3 and season 4. Why haven’t they added the two seasons is up to anybody’s guess.

This seems to be a running theme when it comes to the shows of this network on Netflix. They also added the last few installments of Ash vs Evil Dead and Spartacus much later after both the series were wrapped up.
