A few months ago, the district administration of Surat imposed a similar ban on the game. This was followed by reports of a sudden spike in the violent behavior seen in children and youngsters who were addicted to the game.

On June 3, the Muslim League filed a complaint at the Chennai police commissioner’s office. They compared the game to Blue Whale Challenge, a deadly online game that was making the rounds in the internet community a few months ago.

Just like the Blue Whale Challenge, PUBG has led to an increase in suicide rates among young players. Moreover, there has been a new update to the game which is further adding to the anger of the Muslim community.
