Based as well as named after DC comics Swamp Thing. It is an American superhero horror drama web television series. Catering two major and diverse demands of the public by providing both horror and suspense neatly wrapped and covered in magical supernatural phenomenon’s.
Swamp Thing season 1, episode 1 out!!
The series first season premiered on 31st May 2019 on DC Universe.
Swamp Thing makes an intimidating debut with its monstrous visuals, Gothic charm and ensnaring storyline which envelopes every viewer’s attention acting more or less like a cherry on an already tempting cake.

DC Universe’s Swamp Thing storyline is centred on a small, insignificant Louisiana town that holds a past enveloped in mystery. However, it’s the stellar world building that actually helps the series to stand out from all the other live-action shows of DC.
The co-showrunner duties are shouldered by IT screenwriter Gary Dauberman. While Swamp Thing’s horror-filled supernatural world is headed up by Battlestar Galactica.
The celebrities starring the series are Crystal Reed as Abby Arcane, Virginia Madsen as Maria Sunderland, Andy Bean as Alec Holland. While Derek Mears as Swamp Thing.

An insight into the story
The series begins with Crystal Reed, who is playing the role of Abby Arcane a CDC doctor. Abby returns to her childhood home, Louisiana in order to investigate a horrific life-threatening epidemic that was engulfing her hometown.

Alec too is present in the town investigating the same viral outbreak that Abby to her home. However, according to Alec, it is because of the illicit dumping of chemicals into the local swamps.
Abby develops a bond with Alec but then Holland dies tragically. It was after his death that Abby will unveil the truth of the swamp. And who knows maybe there is a slight hope that Holland is still alive.
Really dug the first episode of #SwampThing. One incredible sequence of practical effects body horror and some quality character work. Love the chemistry between Abby and Alec, which bodes well for what's coming next. Only wish I didn't have to wait for more!
