To cash the success and be with the flow, Paramount Pictures are coming up with their live-action movie for Sonic The Hedgehog this year.

Paramount Pictures released a brand new trailer for its upcoming movie on April 30, 2019 with a tagline, “Welcome the new speed of hero Sonic The Hedgehog.” It was received with mixed reviews with people criticizing the CGI and the weird look of Sonic.

Sonic is a popular animated character on which various animated shows and video games are made in the past. He is a special hedgehog with super speed who collects golden rings and fight the evil Doctor ‘Eggman’ Robotnik.

Sonic The Hedgehog: Cast and Release Date

The new Sonic movie will star Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog where Sonic will be totally a CGI character. Jim Carrey has been cast as Sonic’s main villain the evil Doctor Robotnik, alongside other actors which includes James Marsden as Sheriff Tom and Neal McDonough as a military officer.

While the official makers haven’t given a fixed date, and are only saying Sonic The Hedgehog will hit the theaters in November this year. Reports confirm that the movie is expected to be released in the United States on November 8, 2019.

Tom Wachowski, who is a San Francisco Police Department officer is now appointed as new Sheriff of Green Hills, Montana. He assists Sonic, a speaking blue hedgehog who can run at incredible speed collecting his rings and defeating the insane scientist Doctor Robotnik.

The film will follow the adventures of a small-town sheriff who will assist Sonic as he attempts to escape the government while fighting the evil Doctor Robotnik played by Jim Carrey.

After receiving a lot of hate and backlash over the look of Sonic, director Jeff Fowler promised to redesign Sonic’s CGI and character look. Fans on Twitter started coming up with their own character designs and threatened to boycott the movie.
