Tesla acknowledges its error

Tesla has issued a statement, acknowledging the performance bug and admitted that it has been caused by the Tesla OS update. The car manufacturer has stated that they’re in the process to restore full functionality as soon as possible. They have also apologized to all affected customers for any inconvenience caused.

How Tesla OS Update caused the problem?

Tesla’s P85D and P90D models recently received a paid software update. Following the update, many of the car owners complained that they were unable to use the ‘Ludicrous Mode’. This mode allows the cars to go from zero to 60 miles per hour in less than 3 seconds. However, the mode can only function when the ‘Launch Control’ and ‘Max Battery Power Mode’ settings are simultaneously activated. Because of a performance bug, though, these settings are no longer functional in the cars that received the Tesla OS update.
