There is plenty of excitement and anticipation for Disney’s ‘Frozen 2’. This isn’t surprising considering the first movie was a stupendous success. The re-imagining of a classic fairytale quickly became a hit with kids and their parents alike.
Frozen gave us two new Disney Princesses in Elsa and Anna and won two Oscars for its efforts. It won the awards for ‘Best Animated Feature’ as well as ‘Best Original Song’ for ‘Let it Go’. So what can fans expect from Frozen 2?
When is the movie releasing?
‘Frozen 2’ movie is all set to release a weekend before Thanksgiving this year, to cash in on the holiday season. It will release in the US and UK on November 22, 2019. Unfortunately, there is no information yet on its global release date.
The movie also seems to be on track to meet the release schedule. The film’s co-director and Chief Creative Officer of Disney Animation, Jennifer Lee, tweeted from the test screening of the movie last week. This means the movie is almost ready for release, with just the finishing touches left to go.

What is the cast of ‘Frozen 2’?
The movie is once again co-directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. The entire principal voice cast is returning for their roles. This includes Idina Menzel for Elsa, Kristen Bell for Anna, Jonathan Groff for Kristoff, and Josh Gad for Olaf.
Two more cast members are all set to join ‘Frozen 2’ – Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K Brown. However, it is not yet clear what roles the newest members of the cast will play.
What will be the movie’s plot?
The teaser trailer for the movie, released in February, doesn’t give away a lot. The background score does suggest we should be in for a great soundtrack once again.
It is interesting to note that Idina Menzel, who voices Queen Elsa in the movie, called Frozen 2 a “superhero type of movie”. We already know that Elsa has superpowers. Could we see Anna discover her own abilities in ‘Frozen 2’? It looks like we will have to wait till November to find out for sure.
