Although Legacies season 2 has been officially confirmed, there is still no news regarding when will the show actually air. The show ended with a dramatic final episode last month and since then, the rumour mill has been churning about when the next instalment could be returning.

What is Legacies about?
CW finally renewed the teen drama series for a second instalment in January this year. Legacies is a spin-off series, inspired by famous vampire shows, the Originals and The Vampire Diaries. The star cast of Legacies includes prominent names like Danielle Rose Russell, who plays Hope Mikaelson, who is the main character of the show. The show also features Matt Davis, who gave life to Alaric Saltzman in the original show.
Expected return date for Legacies season 2
CW has not confirmed a set release date for the show. But since the first installment released in October last year, the second one can be expected at the same time this year. Another uncertain thing is the number of episodes. The first season had 16 episodes, so the number may remain the same moving ahead.
Legacies aired on The CW in the US, but like its predecessors, the show is expected to drop on Netflix once all the seasons have been released. For now, you can watch The Originals and The Vampire Diaries on Netflix, all in one go.
No trailer has been released for Legacies yet. The series is expected to return later this year.
