The simplest way to level up fast is to increase the investment of resources in the town hall. The more you invest in the town hall, the faster you will unlock other resources.
The most ideal and easy way to set up your base quickly that nobody mentions is to join a tribe and add troops to the tribe. When a player joins a tribe, other players will request for additional troops while attacking enemy townhall.
The player will get an option to choose the class and the number of troops he wants to send. Successful attacks leads to a townhall upgrade. This is called family hopping and it is the quickest way to upgrade the town hall. However, it is not appreciated by most players.
Extra Boost
Joining a group that can fight with each other for better rewards is a very helpful scenario. It is hard to convince your entire group to go for a family war particularly if your tribe is full of casual players.
However, if you are able to join a tribe in Clash of Clans where players attack each other for better loot and to level up then it is helpful for the whole tribe to level up easily.
