‘Rick and Morty’ Season 4 almost had an unlikely new cast member

Rick and Morty Season 4 is all set to release in a few months and while creators Justin Rolland and Dan Harmon have been awfully quiet, there’s some chatter about the upcoming season from an unlikely source.

Star Wars Resistance and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles voice actor Josh Brener auditioned for a part for the  Rick and Morty Season 4. But sadly, the actor never got a reply from them.

Josh Brener did a great job in What Men Want and the audience got to see some great live action. In Star Wars Resistance, he even voiced the alien Neeku Vozo. Josh Brener is a huge fan of Rick and Morty and would have loved to be a part of Season 4’s new episodes.

In an interview, Brener was asked several questions about the potential part in Rick and Morty Season 4, but he refused to give any details. He only revealed that he auditioned for voicing a high school kid.

There’s hardly any news regarding the Rick and Morty Season 4 and Josh Brener didn’t give out much.

Rick and Morty cast news doesn’t here though. There is a possibility of a new addition to Summer and Morty’s high school for which Josh Brener auditioned. Previously, when the Smith children hosted parties in “Ricksy Business” or “Big Trouble in Little Sanchez”, we got to meet their several new classmates. Ethan and Jessica are two such notable examples.

If the Rick and Morty Season 4 ends up casting a well-known actor, then there are huge chances that it will be for an important character. As per speculations, the character might be the same age as Summer and even turn out to be a love interest. Summer broke up with her boyfriend in “The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy”. There is a possibility that the new character might have something to do with Summer.

There is no one on the Rick and Morty who is Morty’s age, except for Jessica. The only friends he has are a dog and his grandpa. So we can expect Morty to find a new friend soon in Season 4.
