Woman With Fear Of Dogs Adopts And Shares Her Incredible After Story

Here is the beautiful and loving story between a woman and a dog who both afraid of each other, became friends at last.

There is a woman Teresa Hwang who made a decision to share her emotional story on Tik Tok with her partner, her dog Boo.

The 55-year-old mathematics teacher was bitten thrice by street dogs, having a great fear towards dogs to the entire life, before she met Boo at a poor shelter place. He also afraid of people due to his bad experiences.

I think it is only a coincidence of how their paths became the same. It is a fortune to overcome their fears. It was not easy for both of them, to living together. Teresa begins a small start to remove her fear by adopting Boo. They surround themselves with patience and unconditional love to develop trust. And also increasing their friendship gradually like no other.

Many times I thought that if there is any other pet is there, I love him the same as I do with him or not? Now he is like my son for me and I can say it proudly to anyone. Not only do I love him because he loves me and needs me. I love him for who he is, exactly as he is, for everything he has overcome and for the joy he has brought into my life,” said Teresa Hwang.

Hwang’s boyfriend wants a dog for several years, but the serious decision of adopting one came up a couple of years ago, after taking care of her sister’s dog, Rocky, for a week ago.

“After searching numerous rescue shelters, we found a dog named Patches (later called Boo) at Niagara Dog Rescue. Boo had been in the system for about 6 months, originally from Texas (two different shelters there and at least one other foster family),” Hwang said.

The people told them that Boo doesn’t feel good in a lot of noise, activity, or children, but he was good with other dogs. They named him as “prince of a dog” because he has a royal look. He reminded Theresa of Aladdin, who to her was “a diamond in the rough”.

When Boo is there, Boo slowly came out of his shelter and look for a few steps toward Teresa. “When I turned to look, he licked my nose and then quickly withdrew and hid behind his shelter,” she said.

Everyone looked at Teresa in surprise and said, “it is amazing. He doesn’t go near people. Maybe he chose you.”

At that very moment, all my fear and concerns that had intensified. If it took a step to initiate a connection, then maybe it was a sign. I had to take him home.

The starting days were complex. He did not enjoy the food, the walk, enjoyment, etc.

But with the cycle of time, they live a happy life together. Even they’re inseparable now. Boo and Teresa learned a lot. She’s not afraid of her little dog, but she still gets nervous around others.

“Seeing Boo heal and grow up has changed the way I see myself. Caring for Boo has taught me patience and unconditional love.
