Thanksgiving is that time of the year where everyone just gathers together and enjoys a nice hearty meal with friends and family! It is the time to enjoy familial warmth just before the bitter cold winter season hits. However, there’s one thing that can spoil a good thanksgiving – the urgent need to buy some stuff you’ve forgotten but almost all stores are closed! Don’t worry though, here’s a list of some stores that will be open during Thanksgiving 2019.

Thanksgiving 2019: Grocery Stores That Will Remain Open
- Fresh Market will be open from 7 AM to 4 PM
- All Giant stores will be open until 5 PM in the DC Area
- Balducci’s will be open until 4 PM and will even provide catering services on Thanksgiving 2019
- Target stores will open their doors at 5 PM for the Thanksgiving and Black Friday 2019 shopping season to begin. The store will be open until 1 AM and will re-open at 7 AM the next day.
- Walmart’s Black Friday sales will begin one hour later – starting at 6 PM. However, the store’s regular timings will not be altered otherwise.
- Kroger stores will also be open on Thanksgiving 2019 but timings may vary from store to store so you better call up before you go there.
- Harris Teeter will be open until 2 PM
- Weis Markets will remain open until 6 PM
- Whole Foods, similar to Kroger, will vary in terms of timings so better to call up and check

Stores That Will Remain Shut on Thanksgiving 2019
While the aforementioned stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day 2019, there are many which will remain shut. Here are the ones that will be closed:
- Aldi
- BJ’s
- Costco
- Lidl
- MOM’s Organic Market
- Sam’s Club
- Trader Joe’s
