NBA Rumors: Carmelo Anthony Houston Rockets Deal Possible, Team Owner Hints

Carmelo Anthony might not be on any of the NBA teams but it doesn’t mean he is not in demand. There might be a lot of issues regarding his age and attitude problems, still, Melo deserves to be on an NBA roster. Lakers, Clippers Brooklyn Nets, New York Knicks, Miami Heat, etc. all have been linked with Carmelo Anthony in the past and it won’t be surprising if he gets a new deal soon.

Anthony last played for the Houston Rockets where they traded him to the Chicago Bulls who waved him off and since then Melo is a free agent. The Rockets might be interesting in getting Carmelo Anthony back given how they are outmatched in the NBA Western Conference. Rockets owner Tilman Fertitta himself has hinted that Melo deserves to be on an NBA team and Houston can also be the one.

Fertitta said that Carmelo Anthony is perfectly capable of contributing to any of the NBA team in 2019-20 season. There are 30 teams with 150 starters and Carmelo is easily among the top 150 stars in the National Basketball Association. The only reason Carmelo Anthony left the Houston Rockets was because of ego issues with general manager Daryl Morey. It is also the primary reason why everyone says that Melo is being blackballed by the NBA teams and they have conspired against him.

Carmelo Anthony is still a free agent.

Carmelo Anthony can get an NBA deal soon

Carmelo Anthony has been training hard for his comeback and is hitting the gym daily. Melo was seen working out with the Brooklyn Nets player and they are kind of pressuring their team to offer a deal to him. In his last complete season with the Oklahoma City Thunder, Carmelo had an average of 16.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Melo is a 10 times NBA All-star and one of the teams would most likely offer him a deal soon.
