During a promo in SmackDown, Roman Reigns was attacked backstage as a pile of scaffold and metal fell upon him. While the WWE made it appear as if it was something that had just ‘happened’, it is certain that there is more to it than what meets the eye and there’s bound to be an attacker who will be revealed in one of the future episodes. However, here are our guesses as to who attacked The Big Dog:
Daniel Bryan
Daniel Bryan wanted to make an announcement but didn’t do it. Roman Reigns wanted to make an announcement but wasn’t able to do so. Connect the dots and you get a rivalry between Daniel Bryan vs the big dog – something that we would totally look forward to!
@WhatCultureWWE Do you think WWE should stretch the "Who attacked Roman Reigns" Storyline further than Summerslam with its climax (Match or Reveal) at the SD debut in Fox? How are the chances of WWE doing that?

Shane McMahon/Drew McIntyre
Of late, Shane McMahon and Drew McIntyre have been involved in a feud with Roman Reigns. Could this be a continuation of that storyline? While KO faces Shane, will it be Drew vs Roman?
Samoa Joe
Joe and Reigns have been fighting for a couple of weeks and if there is someone in the locker room who will be able to push such a heavy pile of stuff, it is likely to be a strongman like Joe!
The Usos
Their father ‘did it for the rock’, could this be the Usos acting under someone’s command to attack their cousin Roman Reigns? It will be interesting to see this family feud on WWE!
This clip of equipment falling on Roman Reigns backstage looks ri-goddamn-diculous. If I rolled my eyes any harder I'd look like The Undertaker.

Dolph Ziggler
Ziggler vs Miz is currently happening at SummerSlam. Meltzer has pointed out that this is a ruse and it might actually be Ziggler vs Goldberg. However, if the legend does not appear, who better to target for Ziggler than the big dog himself?
