Serena Williams is back from her injury and ready to take on her opponents at the US Open 2019. Many people were looking forward to Williams meeting the chair umpire Carlos Ramos after their 2018 fight. It won’t be happening as the United States Tennis Association (USTA) has made sure to keep the two separate.

USTA spokesperson has officially announced that the Portuguese umpire Ramos won’t be officiating any of the matches in US Open which involves any of the Williams sisters. Serena will also be looking for a rematch with Naomi Osaka who defeated her badly in the last US Open finals.
Fight with Carlos Ramos
The whole issue started in US Open 2018 finals where Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka were competing for the women’s singles title. Osaka dominated the game and defeated Williams with straight sets of 6-2, 6,4 and became the first Japanese to win the US title.
Chair umpire, Carlos Ramos, has been banned from US Open matches Venus and Serena Williams will contest because he docked SW a point for ‘dissent’ in 2018. Holy Moly! There’s courage for you.πΎπΎπΎ #shame #entitlement

But the match became more controversial as the multiple Grand Slam champion called out the Umpire for sexism and racial remarks. Williams and Ramos had a huge fight and the later was fined a penalty over violating the game rules. The whole issue got heated and things ended up badly between the two. It is the main reason why the World Tennis Association (WTA) has made sure nothing of that sort ever repeats again.
Serena Williams vs. Naomi Osaka
US Open 2019 will also look forward to the rivalry between Serena Williams and Naomi Osaka. Both the Tennis star have returned from their injuries and ready to battle out once again. The last US Open ended with Osaka beating Williams in a one-sided match.

Williams also got minor revenge by defeating Osaka at the recent Rogers Cup in just two sets. It has become much interesting as Naomi is currently the number one player in tennis while Williams holds the rank eight. There are high chances for a Williams vs. Osaka rematch in the US Open 2019.
