Derek Carr had an amazing record when he first joined the team of Oakland Raiders and took them to great heights. In 2016, Carr led the Raiders to a 12-3 record with 3,937 yards and 28 touchdowns to six interceptions in a 63.8 completion percentage. He was at the top in the race for MVP title, but unfortunately broke his leg and lost to Matt Ryan. The Raiders are going in strong, and they are confident in Carr to win the 2019 MVP due to the following three reasons.
Antonio Brown to Support
Despite the controversies surrounding Antonio Brown, he is still one of the best wide receivers in NFL. The seven times Pro Bowler makes it easy for any player who passes the ball to him. Derek Carr could benefit a lot by playing alongside Brown as he will bring power to their offense. Josh Jacobs and Trent Williams are also some great support which can help the Raiders and Carr for an MVP title.

No Injuries this Season
Carr has always been injured one way or another and hence is missing out major games and MVP titles. In 2016, Derek broke his leg, and in 2017 he injured his back. It is the first time Carr is resting in a regular offseason and not some kind of injury rehab. There is no way a hundred percent 28-year-old Carr can be stopped by anyone in the NFL.

Strong Motivation
One of the most important factor for Derek to perform extraordinarily is the immense pressure. Most of the NFL teams have rookie players from draft picks who have great potentials. The older players, despite their experience, are slow and have to work hard. Carr has a strong motivation as a young quarterback can replace him if he doesn’t win the MVP 2019.
