New York Giants tested their backup quarterbacks in their last game against the Jets and had some great results. Daniel Jones, Alex Tanney, and Kyle Lauletta did great in the game and looked very sharp. Pat Shurmur, the head coach of Giants is very confident in his players and doesn’t want to change a single thing.

It means that the Giants will play with four quarterbacks including Eli Manning and it doesn’t make much sense at all. To give the new rookies a chance, Giants may trade out Lauletta. Philadelphia Eagles could be one of the buyers and here is why a deal with the Giants for Kyle Lauletta is almost confirmed.
Eagles needs a Quarterback
Philadelphia Eagles currently have a scarcity of quarterbacks and will be perfect for a trade deal. The Eagles are looking at the quarterback market ever since the injury of Nate Sudfeld. He broke his wrist and the Eagles are having a hard time to find a proper replacement.

Eagles are serious contenders for the Super Bowl 2020 and can’t afford to miss that over a quarterback. Carson Wentz can get injured anytime and they need to have a backup as other players are soon to be traded in the NFL free agency market. Even Lauletta himself has a lot of friends in the Eagles and would prefer playing for them.
Lauletta on the Preseason Show
The Giants are smart and won’t trade out Kyle Lauletta so easily, as they realize their mistake with Davis Webb. Shurmur says that in any of the 31 other NFL teams Lauletta plays, he needs a better send-off.

It is the reason why the Giants will let Lauletta play in the preseason and showcase his talents to the world. The Giants have plenty of quarterbacks and won’t mind trading out Lauletta to the Eagles. At the same time, they would wait for the perfect opportunity to get the best deal out of him.
