New England Patriots are in trouble despite being one of the best teams in NFL right now. The Patriots won the Super Bowl 2019 and are also the top contenders for next title but a player injury has complicated things for them. David Andrews, their main center got injured recently and was taken to the hospital with blood clots.
It is why the Patriots are reported to make new deals with lineman Jermaine Eluemunor and left tackle Korey Cunningham. New England has made trade deals with the Ravens and Cardinals and it would be announced soon.
Replacement for David Andrews
David Andrews was one of the key players in the New England Patriots who handled the offensive side. Tom Brady might be affected a lot by the injury as he could have a tough time adjusting with the new players. The Patriots are confident in the new replacements they have signed for the injured Andrews.
Conceptually, trades today for OT Korey Cunningham (Cardinals) and G/T Jermaine Eluemunor (Ravens) fall into the category of players who were on roster bubble/not emerging with their former teams. Those teams pleased to get value in return. Patriots pleased to bolster need area.

As per the reports, the Patriots have offered a sixth-round pick to the Arizona Cardinals for getting Cunningham in their team. The details about the Eluemunor deal with Baltimore Ravens are yet not confirmed. Ted Karras could be the temporary replacement for Andrews until the new deals are finalized.
Positions for Eluemunor and Cunningham
Eluemunor started his career with the Ravens in 2017 when he was selected as the fifth-round pick by the team. He has an NFL experience of playing 17 games where he made a total of three starts. There are high chances that Eluemunor will get to play at center, the best he can get is the offensive line as a tackle or guard.

The Korey Cunningham trade means one of two things:
1. He immediately projects as their top swing tackle.
2. The Pats want to carry four tackles, thinking Wynn might be in an early-season rotation, and they know Cunningham is better than either Croston or Skipper.

Cunningham was a seventh-round pick in 2018 and he has the only experience of one NFL season with the Arizona Cardinals. It can’t be said that the Patriots will use him at which position. David Andrews was part of the New England team for two Super Bowl victories and it would be tough to replace him.
