NBA Rumors: LA Lakers Trade List Spots in Case Dwight Howard Deal Does Not Work Out

Los Angeles Lakers have been considering Dwight Howard for their team and the deal has still no progress. DeMarcus Cousins was injured while working out in Las Vegas and tore his ACL. The whole thing has been problematic for the Lakers as Cousins was a key part of their future roster.

Lakers are looking at several free agents to replace Cousins and Howard is one of the top names in the list. Even Memphis Grizzlies who currently owns Howard have given permission to his camp to discuss trade deals with other NBA teams. Lakers and Howard deal doesn’t have that much hope and they should look at some other names in their trade list spots.

Dwight Howard never had a stable career and almost keeps changing team every year in NBA. Howard has even played for the Lakers before and things were not that great. It is no doubt that Dwight is a talented player who was named Defensive Player of the year a few years ago.

But things are not the same as Howard has lost his magic very long back. It has been around 10 years since Howard played in the NBA finals and being 33 years old doesn’t help much. Lakers are looking at someone who can replace DeMarcus Cousins and Howard is nowhere close to the criteria.
