D’Angelo Russell was never a perfect fit for the Golden State Warriors and he will be traded at some point. When Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving joined the Brooklyn Nets, it was obvious that Russell would be moved out of the team. Minnesota Timberwolves were almost ready for a deal with Brooklyn but the Warriors swooped in and asked for D-Lo in exchange for Durant.
It has not stopped the Wolves for trying hard and they can still make an offer to the Warriors for Russell. Andrew Wiggins is apparently costing them too much and he doesn’t even perform that good. The Warriors and Timberwolves could soon make an exchange deal for Russell and Wiggins.
Russell and Wiggins Exchange Deal
Golden State Warriors keeps saying that D’Angelo Russel is important to their team and they need him for the NBA 2019-20 season. While there is no doubt in the playing ability of Russell, the Dubs team already have a point guard in the form of Stephen Curry.
"You are what you're around. I’m a believer in that."

The same goes for the Minnesota Timberwolves and Andrew Wiggins as their small forward is already full. Robert Covington is excellent at the position and the Wolves lack a point guard in their team. An exchange deal for Russell and Wiggins will benefit both the Warriors and Wolves and hence it is imminent to happen.
Motivation for Andrew Wiggins
Andrew Wiggins needs to prove his worth for the $122 million salary which the Minnesota team is paying him. The 2015 NBA Rookie of the year has not improved much after his debut and need to increase his average soon. T-Wolves president Gersson Rosas says that he got high hopes from Wiggins and their team depends on him.

While the whole thing can put a lot of pressure on the 24-year-old Canadian, he can also take it positively. Wiggins can use the opportunity as his motivation and lead the Timberwolves into big victories at NBA 2019-20 season.
