However before the smile of this goal’s happiness could fade off the Sounders’ faces, the Timbers had scored another  goal, thanks again to Brian Fernandez, bringing them up by 2-1 – which is how it then remained till the end of the game. This was the Sounders’ first loss of the season and it ended a 13-match winning streak for them at the CenturyLink Field.
