NBA Trade News: Carmelo Anthony, Kenneth Faried and Thabo Sefolosha

The NBA 2019 free agency was perhaps one of the best in recent years. Some even claim that this free agency period was the most exciting one that they have ever seen.

After such a flurry of high profile trades and transfers, it is easy to forget that the free agency is still going on, 20 days in. While there are no All-Star players left- Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, Klay Thompson, Kemba Walker, and Kawhi Leonard have all made their moves. But there are still some few players available that could make a difference:

#1. Carmelo Anthony

Nobody has any idea what Anthony is going to do. He had only 10 appearances for the Rockets in 2018-19 and then decided he wasn’t a good fit for the team and stepped away. He was sent on a trade to Chicago, and then released.

At 35 years, Anthony isn’t getting any younger either. Many feel he should retire, but there is still value in him- especially coming of the bench and providing a spark.

#2. Kenneth Faried

Faried is a hustler- he packs an incredible amount of energy, that often makes up for his size. He can block shots, catch lobs and grab onto rebounds extremely well.

Faried didn’t have the best of seasons with the Nets in 2018-19, but he was much better at the Rockets, averaging 12.9 points and 8.2 rebounds.

#3. Thabo Sefolosha

Sefolosha’s versatility makes him so valuable a player- he essentially is put anywhere on a lineup. Regardless of the team, tell Sefolosha his role, and he will perform it to the best of his abilities.

One big concern with him is his durability- he has played 70+ games only five times in his fifteen-year career.
