In the deal with Clippers, five first-round picks, along with players Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Danilo Gallinari were given to the City Thunder team. Followed by that, the reports of Oklahoma team trading out Russel Westbrook came out. The 2017 NBA league MVP, Westbrook will be traded out so that the OKC can rebuild their team. Here are the three NBA teams where Russel Westbrook can sign a new deal.

Houston Rockets

It is being reported that the Houston Rockets team is planning to pair James Harden with his former Thunder teammate Russel Westbrook. One would wonder why the Rockets need another pairing if they already have the Chris Paul and James Harden duo.

As per the reports, the two players are not talking to each other and the Rockets wants to trade out Paul as they get a viable suitor. Hence, it makes a lot of sense for the Rockets to make a pairing where both the stars are in good terms, like Harden and Westbrook.

Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves team was very close to sign a deal with D’Angelo Russel but the Warriors beat them. Since then, the Wolves are looking for a star player that can give them the required boost. Andrew Wiggins will likely be traded out of the team to make the cap space for Russel Westbrook. Karl-Anthony Towns and Westbrook can be paired up in the hopes for a better future season in the NBA games.

Detroit Pistons

The Detroit Pistons are one of the teams which have enough money to sign a superstar like Russel Westbrook. Andre Drummond, Reggie Jackson or Tony Snell has to be sent out of the team in order to make space for Westbrook. The Pistons can pair Westbrook with their star forward Blake Griffin for the next NBA season.
