Boston Celtics are having a tough time since Kyrie Irving has left the team and joined with the Brooklyn Nets. Kemba Walker was signed in as the replacement of Irving as the last bid by the Celtics. At the same time, the Celtics have been trying to retain their All-Star player Gordon Hayward.
The recent reports suggest that the Boston team have rejected all the offers and said no to the other teams for a Hayward deal. It is a known fact the Celtics does not want to lose any more players, but keeping in Hayward does not make any sense. Here is why the Celtics not trading out Gordon is a mistake and can cost them in the next NBA season.

Every trade offer made for Gordon Hayward has been rejected by the officials of Boston Celtics. It implies that Hayward is an important part of the Celtics and they need him badly. Kemba Walker is the new star player for the Boston team who will lead in the next season. Grant Karsen and Tacko Fall are also being reported to join the Celtics. Vince Carter, Zaza Pachulia, and Jerryd Bayless are some names which make sense in the Boston Celtics. There is no way it makes sense that the Gordon Hayward is needed in Celtics team.
Gordon Hayward is no Kyrie Irving
The Boston Celtics are maybe thinking that Gordon Hayward can step up and replace Kyrie Irving in the next season. Even though the 29-year-old player is an All-Star member, he can never be as good as Irving. Hayward suffered from a critical injury in 2017 and his game has worsened after it.

Boston did well in the Eastern Conference, but Hayward has no important role to play in those games. It might be tough times for the Celtics management to take such a decision as they don’t want the team to break down further.
