Clint Capela to play with Russel Westbrook after new Rockets deal

Clint Capela was one of the players the Houston Rockets was looking to trade out but finally decided to retain him. Capela has been playing for the Rockets since the year 2014 and started his NBA career with the team. The Rockets recently acquired Russel Westbrook from the Oklahoma City Thunder in a trade deal.

In exchange, Chris Paul and four future picks were given to the Thunder team. But still, the Rockets team is a real winner of the deal as they get to pair up James Harden and Westbrook once again. The fans and even team members of Rockets are very much excited about the Westbrook deal. Here is what Capela has to say on playing with Westbrook and how does it affect the future of Rockets team.

Clint Capela on Westbrook Deal

As soon as the trade deal of Russel Westbrook was made official, the whole of Rockets roster welcomed him to the team. Clint Capela is a big fan of Westbrook and watched him play when he was a kid.

It is like a dream come true for Capela to play with an NBA star whom he had admired for so long. Even the other teammates are equally excited and the NBA summer has become a lot better after the deal.

Harden, Westbrook and Capela Trio

Power Trio

Most of the NBA teams have made power duos and as a result, have become the top contenders for the next NBA title. The Lakers tried their best to sign Kawhi Leonard, but he went with the Clippers. A third star-player could have been made the duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis as a powerful trio.

The Rockets could be the first team to make a power trio in the form of James Harden, Russel Westbrook, and Clint Capela. If all the three star players continue their form, there is no stopping them. The Rockets could beat every NBA team and win the NBA 2020 finals.
