WWE to air on Netflix soon thanks to a new partnership deal

WWE and Netflix have entered into a partnership for producing new movies. Their first movie titled The Main Event will star The Miz, Kofi Kingston and Sheamus. The movie will be directed by Jay Karas will also star Tichina Arnold, Seth Carr, Adam Pally, and Ken Marino.

What will be the plot for the WWE Netflix movie?

The story revolves around an eleven-year-old who discovers a magical mask and enters the competition for the next WWE superstar. The movie’s lead Carr starred in the movie Black Panther as Killmonger’s younger version.

The latest in a long line of projects from WWE Studios is the first collaboration of the company with Netflix. The production has already begin in Vancouver and is expected to release next year on Netflix. Susan Levison of WWE Studios will be the executive producer of the movie along with Maggie Malina, while WWE Studios’ Richard Lowell is the movie’s producer.

The streaming service is focusing on movies featuring teens and kids made for families. Some of these movies include “A Babysitter’s Guide to Monster Hunting”, “Tall Girl”, “Hello, Universe”.
