Supergirl movie gets closer to release, shooting begins in 2020

DC Films and Warner Bros has plans to shoot Supergirl movie early next year, and the fans can expect to watch it by 2021 only. Just like The Suicide Squad and The Batman, this movie is also set to arrive in 2021 only.

Supergirl movie release progress so far

Currently, there is no official confirmation regarding the same. Even though Supergirl already has a script from Oren Uziel, there is no producer or director for the movie yet. There haven’t been any discussions for the casting of the movie as well. So to get the filming of the movie begins in the first quarter of 2020, everything needs to be sorted out first.

The talks of the movie first began in August last year. The studio mentioned that Kara Zor-El would replace her cousin Kal-El as Henry Cavill’s position was not certain as Superman. The details about the movie are scarce and according to the rumors, Supergirl will be “a period piece” and could potentially take place in the 1970s. Brainiac will be the potential villain.

For now, all we know is that the filming of Supergirl is to begin next year and the movie may release in 2021 only. So the fans will have to be a little more patient till the time there is more concrete proof regarding the details of the movie.
