Rick and Morty Season 4 took ages to be announced! The show was expected to be released as early as late 2018, but it will eventually be coming out in November 2019. Bad news awaits the fans of the show, as the wait for Season 5 might be even longer! Co-creator of the show, Justin Roiland has hinted about this during a recent comment.

Let us take a closer look at what Roiland said and what is the reason as to why the fifth season may be delayed.
Season 5 May be Delayed Due to a Movie
Good news and bad news – a Rick and Morty movie might be coming out! Unfortunately, that means it will take the creators of the show longer to work on the upcoming seasons and will most likely delay the release of Season 5!
When asked about the possibility of a movie, Roiland simply said that he would ‘love to do that’. Interestingly, some fans called out this as what the other co-creator of the show, Dan Harmon, who was involved with ‘Community’ in the past had teased – but a movie on the popular TV show never really came out. However, the bigger story here is – if Roiland indeed works on a Rick and Morty movie, it certainly means the show will be delayed.
When to Expect Rick and Morty’s Next Season?
While Season 4 of the show comes out in November, we expect Rick and Morty Season 5 to come out in November 2020 given things go smoothly. However, in case of unexpected delays, this number might just increase by a year!
