NBA Trade Rumors: Harrison Barnes to become a Free agent and go with Denver Nuggets

Harrison Barnes is the latest name in the list of NBA stars turning into a free agent for the upcoming draft deals. Playing for Sacramento Kings, the 27-year old forward player has declined a $25 million offer to rejoin his team. It makes a lot of sense for him to turn into a free agent, as his stats have gone down after playing for the Kings. The best time is now if he waits for another year, his value will be totally depleted. There will be no NBA team that would be interested in him.

Barnes previously had 17.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game in the 2012 NBA drafts. As for the present season, his stats have lowered into 14.3 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game in the 28 matches played. Here is why Harrison Barnes is turning a free agent and a possible NBA team that could use him.

Free Agent Barnes

Free Agent Barnes NBA trade rumours

It will not be the first time for Harrison Barnes to change his NBA team, as he has already shuffled three times. In 2015. Barnes was a part of the Golden State Warriors squad, at the beginning of his career. He was then traded to Dallas Mavericks as a trade deal between them and the Warriors.

While in last February, Barnes was again traded to Sacramento Kings. The problem is that his performance has gone down after joining the Kings, as the team itself is mismanaged. Hence, it was apparent that Harrison Barnes would turn a free agent and get a better deal and a proper team.

Perfect match for Denver Nuggets

Denver Nuggets NBA trade rumours

As of now, Barnes hasn’t disclosed anything about which NBA team he would like to join. One name that comes under speculation is the Denver Nuggets; they could surely use a player like Harrison Barnes. Michael Malone, the coach of Nuggets, could surely use the 6-foot 9-inch tall Barnes in their team to give it a new boost.

It would make a lot of sense for the Denver Nuggets to trade the 34-year old Paul Millsap, who is currently valued at $30 million. Given his age, there is no point in expanding the contract with the veteran player. If the Nuggets want to win big for the next NBA season, they should use a young talented player like Harrison Barnes.
