Quin Cook may not be the most popular name in the NBA currently. But the Warriors player does have some famous friends, namely Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. And with the ongoing speculation of the two moving to the New York Knicks, Cook may seek to use his friendship to engineer a move away from the Warriors.

Will Kyrie Irving join New York Knicks?
Cook currently is just a backup at the Warriors. In fact, he will be a free agent when the season ends. And he has already been linked to a move to the New York Knicks, where he could play alongside his friends.
In a recent interview with the New York Post, Quin Cook said he hadn’t even had a chat about Kyrie regarding free agency yet. He further added that Kyrie was completely focused on helping Boston win, and when they did talk outside Basketball, it was mostly related to friends and family.
Of course, the New York Knicks are not the only ones looking to secure the services of Kyrie Irving. The LA Lakers and the Boston Celtics are both on the look-outs for a potential move. The Lakers especially have apparently played the trump card- LeBron himself has had communication with Irving to convince him for a move. However, this is still just speculation, with a few reports suggesting otherwise as well.
Irving had said, a few weeks ago when the season came to an end, that he would announce his decision by July 1. The other potential signing for the Lakers, Kevin Durant, is still out injured after the match against the Houston Rockets. He did not make an appearance in the NBA Finals, and there is still no information on when he will return.
