Will work towards AIDS cure, says Trump
Held at Amway center, the president revealed that his government would work hard to discover a cure for cancer and find a treatment that would eradicate the progression of AIDS if he is re-elected to office.
He further added that he would be working towards pushing medical frontiers and coming up with solutions for many problems. Trump said,
“We will come up with the cures to many, many problems, to many, many diseases including cancer and others. And we’re getting closer all the time.”

$25 million raised for a cure for AIDS and cancer research
Trump has talked about curing HIV before. During his State Of The Union Speech in January this year, he promised that his administration would work towards getting rid of AIDS by 2030. The address on Tuesday further added to his previous statement. He also said that scientists are really close to finding a cure for AIDS. Trump also revealed that he and his government have been able to raise nearly 25 million towards the cause in 24 hours alone.
According to the Centre for Disease Control, nearly 1 million people are living with HIV in the United States today.
