When does HBO’s Chernobyl start and how many episodes will it have?

The new historical drama Chernobyl has just started airing on Sky Atlantic on Tuesdays and on HBO on Mondays. Written by Craig Mazin and directed by Johan Renck, the series stars are Harris, Emily Watson, and Stellan Skarsgård.

Where to watch

Chernobyl The fourth episode of the show will be released on Monday, May 27. US viewers can catch it online via HBO Go or HBO Now, or on the channel itself at 9:00 p.m. UK viewers can catch it on Sky Atlantic at 9:00 p.m. Those of you who have a subscription to the Sky Go app will be able to stream the episode too. Those who have a subscription to Now TV can also stream it after the episode airs on TV.

The show has 5 episodes and each episode runs for 70 minutes. The series is said to conclude on June 4. So far, the titles of the episodes that have been released are:

The plot

ChernobylChernobyl is focused on the worst man-made disasters in the history of the world. On April 28, 1986. one of the nuclear reactors in Soviet ruled Ukraine exploded during a safety check. As a result, deadly radioactive fallout 400 times larger than the Hiroshima bomb followed.

The Soviet Union said that the death toll is 31, but radiation poisoning led and cancer-related deaths in the following years reached a figure of 4,000 to 250,000. The show follows scientist Valery Legasov who investigates the explosion.
