True Detective season 4 might be launching soon and fans can’t keep calm about it. True Detective received a great response when it returned for the third season after being on a long break.

The announcement for the fourth season took place in 2016 and it took them 3 years. The show stars Stephen Dorff as Detective Roland West and Mahershala Ali as Detective Wayne Hays. The plot of the third season was about the murder of Will Purcell and his sister, Julie getting disappeared.

What will be the story of the next season?

It will be another anthology story. Fans have been waiting to see Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson. And the next season can potentially be a sequel to the first season. So, we might be able to see the continuation of the child kidnapping ring. But, these are all theories till now.

Who will be cast in the upcoming season?

Till now every season has featured a new pair of lead characters. McConaughey and Harrelson led the first season as Louisiana Police detectives. In the second season, we saw Colin Farrell as Detective Ray Velcoro. He teamed up with Rachel McAdams as Ani Bezzerides.
