The fight to Youtube supremacy between the Swedish YouTuber Felix Kjellberg(PewDiePie) and T-Series (Bhushan Kumar) has come a long way. After months of competing with PewDiePie, the Indian company recently became YouTube’s numero uno channel by subscriber count on March 29.
The difference between the two YouTube channels is the ever-changing in terms of subscriber base. To clinch on the narrow gap T-series chairman, Mr.Bhushan has started a campaign with the hashtag BharatWinsYouTube.
And now the T-Series chairman and director, Bhushan Kumar has made and released a video on twitter with a humble appeal to Indian audiences that they should and must subscribe to the music label company on YouTube.
We’re on the brink of becoming the world’s biggest @YouTube channel. We can make history. We can make India win. Subscribe to @TSeries #BharatWinsYouTube https://t.co/izEu8dzHdf pic.twitter.com/dJumzHwADa

The T-series chief, in an interview with Quartz India, had to say this when asked:

What does being the number one channel on YouTube mean to you? Does it help business?
We were never in this tussle to become number one or two with anyone. But all along there were these sarcastic comments from PewDiePie. And that’s how we decided to respond to the comments. I launched the #BharatWinsYouTube campaign, seeking more subscriptions from Indians. For us, this status does not result in any change on the commercial front. However, it changes the perception of who we are. What is heartening is that now we are seeing the growth even in countries where people were not watching our channel earlier.
The campaign has found supporters from Bollywood’s most popular musicians as well as actors. The likes of Rajkummar Rao took on Twitter to display his positive attitude towards the campaign:
It’s so exciting to know that @Tseries is on the brink of becoming the biggest YouTube channel in the world! Good luck @itsBhushanKumar Let’s all subscribe to ensure and let’s make India win. #BharatWinsYouTube

The campaign has once again gained momentum and as of writing this, the original Tweet by Mr. Bhushan Kumar has over eleven thousand retweets! Only time will tell if this is enough to put an end to the PewDiePie vs T-Series once and for all.
