Microsoft Services break down unexpectedly; Interrupts operations worldwide

If you have been facing problem accessing some key Microsoft services lately, then you are not alone. A massive outage has affected Microsoft services. The users around the world are bearing the brunt of this mishap. The services that have been facing problems are Microsoft Azure, Office’ 365 SharePoint, and One Drive among others.

The problems were first reported on May 5, 2019. All these issues have since been recurring non-stop. Microsoft has also acknowledged the issue. It has even mentioned the issue on its Office’s server status page.

According to the software giant, these are the following Microsoft services that have been affected: SharePoint online, OneDrive for businesses, Microsoft Team, Stream, Power BI, Planner, Forms, Power Apps, Dynamics 365, and Office Licencing.

According to Microsoft,

“We’ve identified a potential Domain Name System (DNS) issue that could be contributing to the problem. We’re working to develop an action plan to mitigate the impact.”

No statement has come from the software giant as to when this problem will be fixed. The company is working to resolve the problem soon though.

Microsoft services recovering

The services are coming back to normal now, suggest reports. The company had also reported later that it has finally identified the issue. It is currently working on how to correct it. Microsoft is one of the most used operating systems around the world.

Unfortunately, this interrupted functioning has impacted multiple organisations worldwide. Delay in resolving the issues with these services can result in loss.
