Chernobyl, the new miniseries by HBO has become the highest rated show on TV. It is based on the aftermath of Chernobyl nuclear power plans and deals with cleaning the radiation to save entire Europe. Viewers are liking Chernobyl for its tightly gripped storyline, breathtaking soundtrack, and the horror effects.

Chernobyl Season 1 has currently only 5 episodes, and it is coming to an end. Lets us know whether the Season 1 will be last of there will be Chernobyl Season 2?
Season 1 Ending
The last and the final episode of Chernobyl is titled ‘Vichnaya Pamyat’ and will bring the Season 1 storyline to an end. The story about one of the worst man-made disaster has been covered in the first four episodes. Episode 5 of Chernobyl will deal with the aftermath of the events and how the truth is revealed to the whole world.
While the previous few episodes had intense action, deaths in a horrifying way, the last episode will be more of a political drama. The season finale of Chernobyl will try to conclude the story and finish up most of the character arcs. As of now, Chernobyl has Season 1 as the first and also the last season, but it could change soon.
Chernobyl Season 2 Possibility
HBO subscribers were about to cancel their membership after Game of Thrones Season 8 ended in the worst way. But, now that Chernobyl has turned out to be a masterpiece of a show, they are continuing watching HBO. Along with that, Chernobyl, even with the release of just a few episodes, has already become a worldwide phenomenon.
It will be stupid of HBO to end Chernobyl with Season 1 and not give fans more of it. The thing that is debatable is that there is no story to move forward for a Chernobyl Season 2. Honestly, it is not that much of a problem, as the five episodes barely showed anything.

Chernobyl Season 2 could be about the other effects of the disaster or even a prequel explaining how it started. Given the immense popularity of the show, another Season for Chernobyl is totally possible in the upcoming time.
