The boy band BTS is planning for a short hiatus. The South Korean band have to fulfill two years of mandatory military service which won’t be possible without a break from the entertainment industry. The enlistment date is not out yet, but the members shared their opinions about it.

Why is BTS band taking a hiatus?
In an interview, one of the group’s vocalist Jin said that this does not worry them as being a citizen of South Korea, it is expected from them to attend this mandatory military service. The K-pop idol said,
As a Korean, it’s natural. And, someday, when duty calls we’ll be ready to respond and do our best.
Jungkook is not in a mood to discuss about it. He mentioned that something interesting is going on. The rapper and group leader RM (Rap Monster) also said that they all like to enjoy every moment to the fullest. So that’s what they do, live in the moment.
The Korean rules make all men between the age of 18 and 28 attend the mandatory military training. The duration of the military service varies as per the military branch. An active duty soldier will have to serve twenty-one months in the Army or Marine Corps, the Navy service is for twenty-three months and the Air Force service continues for twenty-four months.
Currently, BTS is busy in preparing for “BTS World Tour Love Yourself: Speak Yourself”. The tour which will begin in Pasadena, California on 4 May. First, there will be six shows in North America followed by two shows in South America. The third and fourth leg of the show will consist of four shows each across Europe and Asia.
