iPhone 11 is all set to make a comeback with this discontinued feature

Apple became infamous for the notch that they used to put in the Face ID but the tech giant might take a step back in the new iPhone 11.

The news came after the patent filing was reported by the Patently Apple which hints that Touch ID might be making a comeback.

The traditional Touch ID which was introduced in iPhone 5S. It used a capacitive touch button inside the home button of the phone. Recently Apple junked the Touch ID in all of its flagship phones in favour of Face ID.

The new patent filing by Apple hints that iPhone 11 will feature an all-new Touch ID. The image showcases the Touch ID that can be initiated by touching anywhere on the screen.

This Touch ID will use the ultrasonic or acoustic sensor to map the fingerprints of the users. The patent also claims to use the acoustic mapping for authentication by mapping ears (Ear ID).

This patent hints that Apple is working hard to regain its status as an industry leader and innovator.

Rumored Camera Setup

The Apple blogosphere has been pumping many details of the upcoming iPhone 11.

The new render shared by Onleaks showcases a triple camera set up in a square formation.

The upcoming Apple phone is also using a Time of Flight sensor which will bring a revolutionary change in portrait photography. TOF sensor is used to measure the depth in the environment by shooting a laser at the target and calculating the time taken.

The improvements in camera setup and now the possible addition of Touch ID only hints towards a significant bump of pricing.

The iPhone 11 is rumored to have 3 variants two of which are targeted toward the premium segment.

Apple is expected to reveal all three variants in September 2019.
