Google Pixel 4 to ship with the next gen Google Assistant

Google Pixel 4 isn’t due for a release for a while now but it looks like we already have some key information regarding it. Google recently announced that it has been working on its next-gen of Google Assitant at Google I/O 2019.

From whatever we have gathered from the presentation the next iteration of the Google AI holds a promising future.

The Google Assistant of future

The Google Assistant is already a remarkable piece of technology as it is running on more than 1 billion devices. The current version of the Assitant can understand 30 languages across 80 countries.

Interestingly the new version will provide Google the edge in the competition of AI’s.

Google told the developers at Google I/O that the current iteration of Google Assitant uses more than 100 gigs of data to understand and process the requests made by the users. They have worked and reduced the data required to just 512 MB.

This will allow Google to move all the processing capabilities of the Assitant to the phone itself which will reduce the latency to near zero.

Google explained that the next-gen Assistant will translate and understand the voice in real-time with zero latency. They have also baked in the improved support for third-party apps.

Next-Gen Google Assistant and Pixel 4

Even though Google did not mention the release date of the next iteration of Google Assistant but it clear that it will ship with the Google Pixel 4.

It has been Google’s strategy for years that they release all major enhancement as an exclusive for their Pixel lineup. However, these features slowly make their way to other Android devices.

Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are the upcoming flagship devices of Google.

Specs of Pixel 4 Lineup

Pixel 4 is expected to pack a 5.5 inch full  HD display and Pixel 4 XL will use a 6.2 inch at 1440p resolution. Both variants will use the latest Snapdragon 855 chipset with 8 gigs RAM.

So we expect to see the next-gen Google Assistant on Google Pixel 4.
