GOT Author George RR Martin Interview Details
When you’re in the process of writing short stories and novels, you will have editors, support staff and all that, but essentially the writer is king of everyone. The writer decides how everything is going to turn out. People can only give suggestions, and you can only accept or reject them.
With the criticism that the recent episode of Game of Thrones, The Long Night faced, the man behind the story George RR Martin himself had to come for defending the show. GRRM on Game of Thrones
When the Game of Thrones author was asked whether he has been watching the latest Season 8 of the show, he replied that he has read the scripts and keep updates. What shocked most that he hasn’t actually watched any footage of a single episode for the last season due to being busy in finishing the books.
GRMM further explained that working on large projects such as Films and TV show can be much tougher. It is a complex process and a lot of people are involved, a large sum of money is at stake. There might be some creative difference and conflicts of vision.
George RR Martin hints about Game of Thrones Ending
When asked about the Game of Thrones ending, GRMM revealed that yes the ending is fixed. No matter what path the TV show and the books takes, the final destination will always remain the same.
The major plot points about the ending will be things that I have told David and Dan. A few years ago, but certain changes or extra pieces of plot-lines may be added or removed.
The one thing we should take with a grain of salt is that the TV show and the books on Game of Thrones will have an ending decided by George RR Martin, no matter how much the rest of story diverges. Stay tuned to Hiptoro for more Game of Thrones updates and other news.
