With the last episode of the final season of Game of Thrones just around the corner, spoilers and theories are on the rise about what is going to happen. The fifth episode ended with a devastating scene as King’s Landing was burned to the ground by Daenerys Targaryen.
Arya almost killed
The last few moments of Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5 showed Arya Stark leaving the burning city behind on a white horse. Fans of the young assassin were worried several times during the episode when it seemed that she will almost get killed, but all turned out well when she left the scene.

Did we see the afterlife?
However, some GOT fans are theorizing that the last few minutes were actually a glimpse of the afterlife. The white horse that Arya rode off on was initially seen in the very first scene of the episode. It was being ridden by the commander of the golden company, and fans are certain that they saw the death of the animal on the screen. This goes to prove that both Arya and the horse are actually ghosts.
However, the truth may be entirely different. GOT producers may have simply reused the horse and there is no other meaning to its appearance. Whatever the truth may be, we will soon find out as the next episode of Game of Thrones airs on HBO at 9 p.m. on Sunday.
