Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5 review: Such a huge waste of potential

Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 titled ‘The Bells’ finally gave us the ultimate battle of the Final Season of the HBO TV Series. While the previous Episodes were scrutinized for Queen Dany’s stupidity and illogical battle tactics, Episode 5 has made all those mouths shut.

While Fans were expecting a tough battle between The Golden Army, Lannister Army, Iron Fleet, The Northerners, The Unsullied, and The Dothraki, what we actually got is a one-sided battle where Drogon burned everyone. But how did the Episode fared, let us have a detailed review of Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5.

Dany is Finally Mad

Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5 review

Dany finally unleashed her anger on King’s Landing, riding her only Dragon left, she finally flew like her ancestors Targareyns and turned the tide of the Battle single-handedly. Drogon burned the whole of the Iron Fleet, Golden Army and King’s Landing, not even the Red Keep was safe, walls fell down, everything was down to the ground. Does that mean Dragons have unlimited fire and why did not Dany used that trick in the last Episode?

Not the Battle Fans Wished

Game of Thrones season 8 episode 5 review Game of Thrones Season 8 focused a lot on the sellswords called The Golden Army, and Cersei paid a huge sum of Gold for them. Everyone thought that there will be an amazing battle of The Golden Army vs The Unsullied and Dothraki. But what we had is an utter disappointment, The Golden Army was totally wiped by Dragon Fire and started running for their lives only to be thrashed by Jon Snow and his soldiers.

Amazing Visuals and Soundtrack

No matter how much anyone criticizes Game of Thrones Season 8, one thing it will be remembered is the Amazing Visual Effects and the breathtaking soundtrack by Ramin Djawadi. Episode 3 was hated for darkness, but it had also its moments and an amazing piano track at the end. Episode 5 wins in every department, the aerial shots were beautiful, and the ashes in the air at the end was straight up mesmerizing.
