The Second last Episode of Game of Thrones just aired and is getting mixed reviews from critics. It finally featured much of the awaited Season 8 events and the battle between Cersei and Dany. Varys is Executed for Treason
Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5 starts with the execution of Lord Varys for spreading the Secret of Jon Snow’s true identity to everyone. Dany burns him by saying Dracarys, where Drogon comes out from the dark and spits fire.
Jon Snow and Dany Problems
Tensions between Jon and Dany further increases as Dany is upset because Jon revealed his secret to Sansa. She tries to kiss Jon, but he is reluctant, while he can’t face the fact they Dany is her aunt, it is normal of Targareyns.
Tyrion pays his Debts
Jaime Lannister is captured by the Army of Queen Dany when he’s trying to enter into King’s Landing. Tyrion helps his brother escape as a favor because it was his brother who helped him escape his death for the ‘alleged’ murder of Joffrey.
Queen Dany goes Mad
Queen Dany has gone full mad because of losing everyone who was with her, she goes berserk and burns everything down. Even though the Opposite Army surrenders, Dany and Drogon burn King’s Landing to ashes in Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5.
Fate of The Golden Company
The overhyped Golden Army was just useless, the leader is the first one to run away when things go wrong. Game of Thrones Season 8 has made the Golden Army a joke and they are burned by Drogon and rest are slaughtered by the Dothraki Army.
The Cleganebowl
Finally, we get to witness the much awaited Cleganebowl in Game of Thrones Season 8 Episode 5. When Sandor Clegane aka The Hound challenges his brother Gregor Clegane The Mountain for a duel. Both brothers fight for death, and even though Gregor comes on top, The Mountain has turned into a monster and is unkillable. At last, the Hound overcomes his fear and jumps into the Fire killing himself and his brother.
Arya Stark is Angry
Arya Stark who previously killed The Night King looks more horrified now or Daenerys Targaryen. She witnesses the horror and killing and is unable to save anyone from being burned alive. Arya develops a rage and looks like Queen Dany is her next target in the list of names to kill.
