The production of this movie which stars Deadpool star Ryan Renolds as Pikachu started off in 2017 and it has finally come out now.

Detective Pikachu Reviews
This is the first live-action/animation film in the history of the Pokemon franchise. The series has had a number of hit movies in the past, but this time around, we get to see a whole new perspective into the pokemon movies. These pocket monsters have never looked as real as they do in this movie.

Ryan Renolds is the voice of Pikachu and his motion capture was also used to create the movements of the titular character. While the movie is a delight to watch given that there are so many pokemon that appear every now and then, it sort of lacks a proper story. However, we get a feeling that ‘story’ wasn’t exactly the point of this movie.
