In every teaser, we can clearly see the Cabal statues that are found on the Leviathan. This makes it clear that the new content is set in Leviathan.
New features of Season of Opulence
The next update is touted to bring two new activities to the game.
Bungie has been pushing hard to realize the wave-based activity since the release of Warmind. This activity will require six players in matching as reported by Polygon.
The wave-based activity would require the players to work together to stay alive and defend their position from hordes of enemies.
These hordes attack the position in batches also called waves. Players get a small amount of time between the waves to regroup and heal up.
The second activity is a possible secret Exotic quest. The game director of Destiny 2 has hinted towards the possibility of a quest.
This is not the only content that players will receive in the next update. According to the rumors, we could get a look at new weapons in Destiny 2.
Destiny 2 Season of Opulence: New Weapons
Considering the content coming in with the Season of Opulence it is highly likely that we will also get the original raid loot.
The source of this new loot will be the six-player activity. Bungie has not given any clear indication of what we can expect from the Exotics.
Release Date of Destiny 2 Season of Opulence
Even though there has been no revelation from the side of the developer Bungie it is expected that the content update will hit the game next month.
