Designated Survivor season 3 will be released on Netflix next month and fans are wondering if this means there will be any major changes in the series. As you are well aware, shows aired on regular television network have to follow certain guidelines which are not applicable for online streaming platforms.
Tv networks prohibit swearing
One of the major things that shows have to take care of when being released on television networks is language. Most networks restrict shows from swearing openly. However, it is no secret that the online streaming giant Netflix does not make any such restrictions.

Designated Survivor season 3 will, therefore, have more swearing than its second installment. It also seems reasonable in the context of the plot. The show tackles political situations and therefore it is only natural that the language will be PG 13.
Season 3 Premiere date in June
The first two seasons of the show were family-friendly and appropriate for TV Networks. Introducing strong language in the third season could lead to loss of viewers as some sensitive audience may find it offensive.
The plot of the show is obviously more important than the language. If the story is strong Designated Survivor season 3 will not face any problems. The show will premiere on Netflix on June 7.
