What do the lawyers have to say about it?
On 21 November 2018, Beckham was driving his car in London’s West End when someone spotted him using his cell phone. Prosecutor Matthew Spratt said that Beckham was not paying attention to the road. Instead, he appeared to be looking at his lap. He said,
“The photograph was taken when the defendant was spotted using a handheld device at the knee level.”
On the other hand, Gerard Tyrell, Beckham’s lawyer has confirmed that his client cannot remember the details of the incident. Tyrell said that there is no excuse for whatever happened that day. Since his client does not remember the incident, he is going to plead guilty.
