Android vs iOS war heats up; Numbers back up iOS

The war between Android and iOS keeps on developing in proving supremacy. Surprisingly, this is not just between the two giants but with their fans as well. Android and iOS fans even argue about the phone’s features that are not even included in their respective specifications.

Keeping the arguments on hold, both, iOS and Android, share spectacular systems. They have their own share of merits and demerits. For example, Android offers versatility or flexibility for mobile phone users. It can easily be installed and updated in different touchscreen phones.

On the other hand, iOS is the most secure operating system as it offers security where chances of a breach are none. Besides, it’s easy to use, the ecosystem is to die for. With both being superheroes of their worlds, it’s a bit difficult to find the best. However, the statement may not be true for Google.

Google has finally come up with the latest statistics of its operating system. It also has statistics of just how many people have switched to Android 9.0 Pie version from their existing ones.

According to the researchers, there are just above 10 percent of handsets running on Android 9.0 Pie. On the other hand, only 30 percent are running on Android Oreo while 20 percent on Nougat.

It might come as a shock that more than 20 percent devices are running older Android versions such as KitKat and Jelly Bean.

Now let us compare this with iOS statistics. According to this, more than 85 percent of users have switched to the latest version of the iOS operating system. This states that all these devices will now have the security and assurance of the latest features.

The manufacturers who try to adapt to Android don’t let go of their own skin which makes adoption really slow. This is on the contrary not a case with the iOS operating system where almost all iOS users can update to new operating systems on the same day.
