Google explained that the dark mode will help the users in reducing the eye strain and will also help in battery saving. It should be noted that battery saving part is only true if your phone uses an AMOLED or OLED display.

Samsung One UI and Dark Mode

Interestingly Samsung already supports the system-wide dark mode through its custom Android skin called One UI. Samsung had got a lot of flak for their older custom skin known as TouchWiz.

However, OneUI is a serious custom skin with some of the best functionality. Additionally, dark mode in the OneUI can be set to turn on automatically or permanently.

But, Android fans still need to wait for the release of the Android Q update for Galaxy S10 and Note 9.
